The Original Crabby Bill’s Family Brands Returns to Clearwater Beach

The Original Crabby Bill’s, founded in 1983 by Bill and Dolores Loder, is an icon in Pinellas County. Over the years, Crabby Bill’s has become a household name thanks to Crabby Bill Loder’s dedication to his business, his family, and his community. His passing in April 2018 inspired his son and Crabby Bill’s CEO, Matt Loder, to continue to grow his father’s legacy.

We are a legacy business dedicated to serving seafood through our restaurants for years to come. Our goal is to provide quality seafood that not only tastes great, but is ethically sourced.
— Matt Loder Sr.

Clearwater Oyster Company is the Original Crabby Bill’s Family Brands newest venture. Formerly an IHOP, Clearwater Oyster Company is the result of a joint venture between Matt Loder and Steve Page of Page Resorts & Hotels, LLC.  Page is a St. Petersburg native who has spent most of his life in the Tampa Bay area. After earning a Bachelor's Degree and obtaining his real estate credentials, he immediately began a career in the real estate industry. His business ventures started with small residential projects, and have continued to grow over the past twenty years to include numerous, successful multi-million dollar condominium and townhome developments along Florida's West Gulf Coast.

This new venture with my good friend Steve Page and his beautiful family will allow us to have a real presence again on Clearwater Beach with our Original Crabby-style seafood.
— Matt Loder Sr.

With over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Matt Loder brings his passion and wealth of seafood knowledge to Clearwater Oyster Company. Just as his parents Crabby Bill and Dolores Loder did, Matt believes in family, great seafood, and only the best service. Steve Page is an expert in hospitality, and between the two, Clearwater Oyster Company will provide an excellent dining experience that will keep guests coming back time and time again.

Clearwater Oyster Company offers some of Crabby Bill’s best, along with unique and exciting drinks and dishes like Clearwater’s Hangtown Fry for breakfast or the Lobster and Scallop Pot Pie for dinner.
